Our Organization

In the spring of 1946, Baltimore insurance agent F. Addison Fowler and a group of property and casualty insurance professionals formed the Insurance Roundtable of Baltimore.  The Roundtable was conceived to help keep the insurance community abreast of changes in the industry and to provide a format that would foster a monthly exchange of ideas between insurance agents and insurance companies and insurance support organizations.  As part of the Roundtable's commitment to raising the professional and educational standards of the industry, we sponsor an annual educational event, the Addison Fowler Seminar, which has earned the reputation of being the premier educational opportunity for insurance professionals. All are welcome to attend the annual event.

Annual Fowler Seminar

Starting in the early winter of each year the members of the Insurance Roundtable of Baltimore begin the process of developing the educational seminar for the following fall.  The emphasis is on timely and relevant topics that are often not addressed thoroughly by readily available eduction offerings, continuing education classes or the insurance trade press.  Industry experts are recruited each year to speak at the seminar and discuss current industry trends and topics.

In addition to the seminar being a great learning opportunity, it offers the opportunity to earn continuiong education credits for the state of Maryland and those holding a CPCU designation.
